Heart and Stroke Foundation

Challenge

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada wanted a viral Facebook application to raise awareness of February as Heart Month and to promote their new site, also dedicated to Heart Month, www.putyourheartintoit.ca.

Solution

FreeCause helped the Heart and Stroke Foundation launch a Facebook Application integrated with Kintera Sphere to engage existing constituents and reach and cultivate relationships with new supporters.

Results

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Red Heart Application was released on February 14th and in just 14 days, the application grew from 40 initial members to over 45,000. Each new member made a personal pledge to help the Heart and Stroke Foundation against heart disease and stroke.
