What you'll need to do to be successful at FreeCause

  • Eat, sleep, and dream of AJAX
  • Have an opinion on Perl vs Php , nginx vs apache, and aspire to one day be a MySQL Kungfu master
  • Have an incredible amount of initiative and drive
  • Committed to creating innovative, simple, incredible new products and blast away the norm!
  • Be able to focus on bug free execution
  • Create highly dynamic, engaging, scalable applications
  • Work with other people in an extremely fast paced seting

The Basics:

  • Comfortable and proficient with proper dhtml mantras
  • Extremely comfortable with php or perl
  • Comfortable with standard MySQL joins and simple optimizations
  • Enjoys drinking Red Bull (or equivalent)
  • Bachelors in Computer Science (Or have a good reason why you don't)

This will get you noticed:

  • 2+ years making real applications with LAMP and some javascript jazz
  • Strong CSS experience
  • Intermediate Sys Admin
  • Can actually tell me why php or perl is better than the other
  • Has an advanced knowledge of MySQL performance issues
  • Becomes appalled if an application is created without a templating system
  • Has programmed facebook applications in their free time
